We’ve had a really tremendous thunder storm today (by London standards, at least). The air became increasingly muggy from about 2pm and then, an hour or so later, the lightning started. The storm was directly overhead and the flashes of light and claps of thunder were quite intense.
Then the downpour followed. All the flowers in my garden have recently started to come into bloom and I was slightly concerned a lot of the flower heads may be lost in the deluge.
Fortunately, they seem quite hardy and they all survived the storm unscathed, as far as I can see. The raindrops left on the petals were quite beautiful so I thought I’d take a few images to share with you. I hope you enjoy them.
Again, beautiful macro photography.Love the colour of the flower too

Thanks – the rain really seemed to bring out the colours. The greens seemed much deeper than usual too.
