I had a very unsettled sleep last night, where I drifted in and out of strange, abstract dreams. Dreams I couldn’t quite focus on and couldn’t quite grasp. (Maybe watching Season 2 of The OA before bed wasn’t such a good idea!)
I took this photo in the garden today. The very selective focus of this shot, where the main elements of the flower feel just out of grasp, resonated with me.

We’ve had a really tremendous thunder storm today (by London standards, at least). The air became increasingly muggy from about 2pm and then, an hour or so later, the lightning started. The storm was directly overhead and the flashes of light and claps of thunder were quite intense.

This is a photo from my archive, taken back in 2005. How time flies! I can still remember the day I made this photograph and it certainly does not seem like it was more than a decade ago.
