I’m currently living in South Australia for a few months. While I’ve not been directly affected by the awful bushfires which swept the country over the last six months, I occasionally come across the damage they caused.
Yesterday, I went up to the Bird in Hand winery, in the Adelaide Hills. A terrible fire in December affected a number of communities in the Hills. Fortunately, the fire stopped on the other side of the road from the Bird in Hand winery and, apart from a few singed hedges, the vines weren’t damaged, although it’s too early to say whether smoke from the fire will have tainted this year’s grapes.
The fires have been truly devastating for so many Australians and many people are still trying to put their lives back together.
I can only imagine 😌 thanks for sharing 🤓

Yes, it’s heartbreaking to see, up close, the damage the fires have caused. It must have been terrifying to have been caught up in it.
